Come ogni anno, Second Life celebra Halloween con un fervore di feste, cacce al tesoro, promozioni, omaggi, concerti, sfilate di moda, eventi benefici e tanto altro ancora che animano centinaia di land del metaverso della Linden Lab quanto o forse più che Natale. Nel 2009 in particolare la rincorsa ad Halloween è partita appena dopo agosto, con i primi concorsi e le prime cacce al tesoro a tema, fino ad arrivare allo “spam istituzionale” della stessa Linden Lab che in questi giorni ricorda a tutti i residenti del metaverso che sul marketplace XStreetSL (di proprietà della stessa Linden Lab) potete acquistare centinaia di articoli, adatti sia a qualsiasi pubblico sia a chi si sente più “naughty”.

Ricordando che chiunque voglia avere una panoramica aggiornata degli eventi in calendario può trovarli segnati nell’apposita sezione del sito ufficiale di Second Life (https://secure-web8.secondlife.com/my/community/events), segnaliamo brevemente alcuni degli eventi proposti alla comunità italiana in queste sere (negli Stati Uniti Halloween si celebra ufficialmente alla vigilia di Ognisanti, il 31 ottobre sera, ma su Second Life molti preferiscono anticipare la celebrazione il 29 o il 30 sera). Elettra Gausman, la stilista italiana proprietaria del marchio OC (Orage Creations), ha aperto una caccia al tesoro (Oc Halloween Hunt) lo scorso mercoledì 21 ottobre e l’evento proseguirà fino a sabato 31 ottobre presso il suo mainstore (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Orage%20Creations/248/247/22), con otto zucche nascoste contenenti skin, abiti e altro in omaggio per chi le troverà.

Giovedì 29 ottobre alle ore 13.30 SLT (21.30 italiane) presso lo stage di Best of Italian (http://slurl.com/secondlife/BEST%20OF%20ITALIAN/218/142/53) si terrà invece una sfilata di moda del marchio Paty, mentre nella land gemella di Rodeo Drive, presso il club Ego, si svolge dal 25 al 31 ottobre la vendita benefica Exclusive Glamorous Obsession collegata al Mese della consapevolezza del tumore al seno (Breast Cancer Awareness Month), con le modelle di Evane Models Agency e di BeStyle Models impegnate a presentare gli outfit di celebri stiliste italiane ed estere quali Alatiel Fashions, ALB Fashions, Anubis Style, Azul, Blaze, Bliss couture, CRAZY, [DD], OC, SF Designs, SJ Fantasy, Red Passion, RFyre, TM e Velvet Rythms, messi in vendita a prezzo ridotto per tutta la settimana. Il ricavato della vendita verrà poi devoluto interamente ad American Cancer Society Relay For Life of SL.

A Second Parma (http://slurl.com/secondlife/SAS%20Oleron/152/76/1534), invece, la stilista Deliziosa Vendetta presenta in anteprima “Spider”, la sua nuova collezione di gioielli ispirata al tema di Halloween. Proprio Second Parma, che dopo un anno di presenza nel metaverso si è spostata in una nuova land più piccola e concentrata, dopo la pausa estiva è tra le land più attive in queste settimane, con gli owner Monslab Writer, KeyraDesigner Beaumont e Meika Ellenberg impegnati a guidare il nuovo staff (di cui fanno parte anche il builder e manager Harald Zimer, le PR sissy Leitner e Linda Seminario e il disk jockey Francesco Steamer, alias Batti DJ)in un fitto calendario di proposte per tutti i gusti, che potete seguire anche su http://secondlife.comune.parma.it oltre che su http://www.flickr.com/photos/secondparma. Accanto alle ricostruzioni virtuali dei famosi Portici del Grano con piazza e il giardino Piazzale della Pace con fontana, la “nuova” Second Parma ha rinnovato il proprio centro commerciale ed ospita nuovi e ormai consolidati negozianti e stiliste, ha aperto la discoteca Blue Passion con lounge (dove giovedì a fine sfilata sarà possibile ascoltare musica e partecipare ad una festa in costume, ovviamente a tema Halloween), propone alcune villette sulla spiaggia e skybox per chi vuole provare ad affittare casa in SL, mentre la MetaLounge Gallery è sempre aperta per nuovi artisti, sia SL sia RL, interessati ad organizzare una mostra. L’offerta di Second Parma si completa poi con la SLParma School dove sono ricominciati i corsi di scripting, building e fashion.

Infine sabato 31 ottobre alle 21.30 ora italiana (13.30 SLT) verrà presentato presso la sala conferenze il nuovo stile di vita AngelsDemons, interamente ideato dagli owner di CSW ISland. Halloween, what's new in SL?
Like every year, Second Life is celebrating Halloween with a flurry of festivals, treasure hunts, promotions, gifts, concerts, fashion shows, charity events and more on hundreds of land in the metaverse of Linden Lab as or perhaps more than Christmas. In 2009 in particular, the run-up to Halloween has started just after August, with early contests and the first treasure hunt theme, until you get to the "institutional spam” of Linden Lab itself in these days reminds all residents of the metaverse that the marketplace XstreetSL (owned by Linden Lab itself) you can buy hundreds of items, suitable for any audience or for those who feel more "naughty".

Soon after there will be a party at Stonehenge for AngelsDemons and Halloween, with a 1.000 lindens contest about "The most scary".

Altri 2 appuntamenti per Halloween da parte della comunità italiana presente in Second Life: l'agenzia di moda Darna Dream sfila stasera (30 ottobre) dalle ore 22.00 italiane (le 15.00 SLT) a Porto Cervo SL, presentando 18 capi di 6 diverse stiliste. Tra le modelle anche la "nostra" Luciana Pinazzo; il Delos BookClub organizza invece per domani (31 ottobre), presso i "miasmi di un cimitero", una serata dedicata ad una "lettura infernale" tenuta da Elisabetta Venier, aka Eliver, per l'occasione tramutata in NecroMaga. Altri lettori "voice-muniti" sono graditi, specie se porteranno zucche e costumi "consoni all'evento". LmS
