Buon Halloween a tutti! Oggi approfitto della festività per parlarvi di un’iniziativa benefica che coinvolge direttamente decine di artisti che donando i propri lavori hanno reso possibile realizzare la BCA Art Auction and Exhibition apertasi venerdì 30 ottobre 2009 e che andrà avanti per due settimane sino a mezzogiorno SLT di domenica 15 novembre 2009 (le 21 ora italiana). L’evento rientra tra le numerose iniziative a supporto del mese della prevenzione del cancro al seno organizzate in tutta Second Life da vari gruppi. In questo caso l’esposizione ed asta di beneficienza si tiene sull’isola di Dreaming, messa gratuitamente a disposizione per l’evento da Gooden Uggla, ed è stato organizzato di un gruppo di persone (il 2009 BCA Art Auction Volunteer Committee) che comprende:

Mentre vi invito quanto meno a visitare l’esposizione, data l’elevata qualità delle immagini esposte (per correttezza debbo dirvi che sono stata invitata a partecipare e ho accettato immediatamente), per partecipare all’asta benefica è molto semplice:
1) toccate il pannello che riproduce l’opera che vi piace maggiormente e pagate per fare la vostra offerta per l’immagine
2) nel caso in cui qualcuno faccia un’offerta superiore alla vostra, la vostra offerta vi verrà restituita e vi verrà segnalato che non siete più il miglior offerente
3) potete tornare all’asta e reinserire una nuova offerta fintanto che l’asta non sarà chiusa
4) alla fine dell’asta il miglior offerente per ogni pannello riceverà l’opera esposta
Se invece volete solo fare un’offerta libera, lungo tutto il giardino dell’esposizione sono presenti dei box per donazioni.

Tutti i fondi così raccolti verranno donati direttamente alla National Breast Cancer Foundation (www.nationalbreastcancer.org). Happy Halloween to all! Today I take the holiday season to talk about charity initiative that directly involves dozens of artists donating their work that made it possible to perform the BCA Art Auction and Exhibition, which opened Friday, October 30, 2009 and will run for two weeks until noon (SLT) on Sunday November 15, 2009 (the 21 Italian time). The event is one of the many initiatives in support of the month of Breast Cancer Awareness in the entire Second Life organized by various groups. In this case the exposure and charity auction held on the island of Dreaming, donated for the event by Gooden Uggla, and was organized by a group of people (the 2009 BCA Art Auction Volunteer Committee) which includes:

While I invite you at least to visit the exhibition given the high quality of the images on show (to be fair I must tell you that I was invited to participate and I accepted immediately), to participate in charity auction is very simple:
1) Touch the board and pay to enter your offer for the artwork
2) If you are out-bid, your losing bid will be returned and you will be notified that you are no longer the high Bidder
3) You can return to the art auction and enter a new bid anytime up to the auction's closing
4) At the end of the auction the high bidder listed on the board will be awarded the artwork.

All funds collected will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (www.nationalbreastcancer.org). As always I just wanna thank Denise Rowlands, who wanted an image from my album on Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/luciana_pinazzo), though hardly I call "art" what I create (as repeatedly stated, I think shouldn’t be the creator of this type of images to define him/herself “artist” ex ante, but the critics and the public to judge the merits ex post) and suggest you to follow the landmark to teleport directly to the BCA Art Auction and Exhibition.
